Three sections. Five minutes. One unfair advantage.

The Briefing

Criteo joins ChatGPT ad pilot as first major ad-tech platform.

Retargeting and programmatic buying are coming to ChatGPT. The ad-tech ecosystem is pivoting to conversational AI. If you use Criteo (or any programmatic platform), expect this to become standard inventory.

Google AI Mode crosses 75M daily active users.

AI-first search is now mainstream. Shopping ads and direct offers are embedded in conversational results. If you sell anything online, your Google strategy needs a complete rethink.

DeepSeek V4 launches (1 trillion parameters).

Well-funded Chinese competitor enters the frontier model market. Pricing pressure on all AI services. More competition means better tools and lower costs for everyone. Eventually.

Apple Siri gets Google Gemini partnership.

Siri is about to become a real AI assistant. Voice search and voice commerce are about to get serious. Your content needs to be findable by conversation, not just keywords.

The Build

Twelve weeks ago I started an experiment. Could I take 15 years of direct response marketing knowledge and load it into an AI system that actually produces professional-grade marketing assets?

Here's what I built: 4 master framework files (psychology, VSLs, email, headlines). 12 specialized skill files covering everything from funnel architecture to offer stacks to content multiplication. A Voice DNA system that kills AI-speak. A Voice of Customer library with real buyer language. A complete campaign architecture layer.

63 files total. One AI brain that understands it all.

This week I stress-tested the full system. Complete campaign: lead magnet landing page, 5-email Soap Opera Sequence, Facebook ad set, and a VSL outline. All connected. All following the same frameworks. All using the same customer language.

The file that made it work: marketing-campaign-architecture.md

This is the capstone file. It's the strategic layer that ties every other file together. Here's the core:

# Marketing Campaign Architecture

## The E5 Campaign Method (Todd Brown)
Five phases that take prospects from cold to sold:

1. Excite: Create excitement about a new opportunity
2. Educate: Teach the unique mechanism
3. Engage: Build relationship and handle objections
4. Establish: Prove the solution works
5. Execute: Drive action with urgency and clear CTA

## The Big Marketing Idea
Every winning campaign has three components:

1. The Big Promise
   The primary transformation or result
2. The Unique Mechanism
The proprietary process that makes it believable
3. The Unique Sales Argument (USA)
Why this mechanism is superior to alternatives

Without a Big Marketing Idea, your campaign is noise.

## The Marketing Equation (Todd Brown)
Conversion = (Desire x Belief) / Friction

- Increase Desire: Benefits, future pacing, emotion
- Increase Belief: Proof, unique mechanism, credibility
- Decrease Friction: Risk reversal, simplicity, objections

## Market Sophistication Levels (Schwartz)
1. First to market: simple claims work
2. Competition exists: enlarge the claim
3. Crowded: add a mechanism
4. Saturated: elaborate the mechanism
5. Exhausted: identify with the prospect

The output was 70-80% there. Structure right. Psychology right. Customer language right. Connections between pieces right. I spent about 4 hours editing and adding real stories, real data, real personality. What used to take 2-3 weeks took less than a day.

What worked: AI didn't replace me. It replaced the first 80% of the work. The blank page. The structural decisions. The framework application. It freed me to do the 20% that actually requires a human: real stories, genuine emotion, the specificity that comes from lived experience. That 80/20 split is the real unlock.

What didn't work: Start with the Voice of Customer analysis. That should have been week 1, not week 2. Everything downstream gets better when you have real customer language loaded first. The psychology, the headlines, the VSL, the emails, they all improve when the AI has actual words from actual buyers to pull from.

The Play

You don't need 63 files. But you do need a system. Here's the minimum viable AI marketing system:

1. A role brief (who the AI is, how it works, what it doesn't do). 2. A voice file (how you write, what's banned, 3-5 writing samples). 3. A customer language file (real words from real customers). 4. One core framework (pick one: VSL, email sequence, or ad formula). 5. A quality checklist (what must be in every piece of output).

Build those five things. Load them into your AI. Start producing.

The biggest lesson from 12 weeks: the quality of AI output is directly proportional to the quality of what you put in. Generic prompts get generic output. Systems get systems. Start building yours this week. Even the rough version will be better than prompting from scratch.

Try this today. Pick one of the five pieces above. Build the roughest possible version. Load it into your AI. Run one task through it. You will feel the difference in the first output. That feeling is what 12 weeks taught me in one sentence: give the AI something real to work with, and it gives you something real back.
