I Gave Claude the Same Prompt Twice. Once Naked. Once With My 10 Files. The Difference Will Make You Uncomfortable.

This is what the system from my last post actually produces. Same prompt. Same AI. Completely different output.

My last post explained the 10 markdown files I use to train Claude to write copy.

The response blew me away. Hundreds of you commented "Picasso." I wasn't ready for that. If I missed you, I'm sorry. I'm still working through the messages. Turns out when you give away the recipe, people actually want the food.

So here's the food.

I gave Claude one prompt. A simple one. The kind of thing any marketer types on a Tuesday afternoon.

Then I gave it the same prompt again, but inside my Claude Project, with my 10 skill files, the Skill Router, and a target market brief loaded.

Same AI. Same words. Two very different outputs.

The Prompt

"Write a Facebook ad for a business coach targeting service-based business owners doing $500K-$2M who are stuck working 60+ hours a week and can't scale past their current revenue."

That's it. No extra instructions. No "write in this tone" or "use this framework." Just the brief.

Output 1: Naked Claude

Here's what Claude wrote with zero context:

Tired of working 60+ hours a week with nothing to show for it?

You've read that ad a thousand times. You've probably written it.

No hook. No proof. No named result. No rhythm. Just a list of features dressed up as benefits. A robot wearing a marketer costume.

Output 2: Claude With the 10 Files

Same prompt. Here's what came out:

Most service businesses hit a ceiling between $500K and $2M.

Not because the owner isn't good enough.

Not because the market is too tight.

Not even because the team isn't there yet...

The ceiling exists because YOU are the business.

Every client wants you. Every decision waits on you. Every fire gets put out by you.

You got here by being exceptional at what you do. And that same thing, your excellence, is the lid on your growth.

Sound familiar?

Sarah ran a $1.4M consultancy. Sixty-three-hour weeks. She thought she needed better marketing.

She didn't. She needed to stop being the bottleneck in her own business.

Within 5 months she cut to 40-hour weeks, added a second service line she'd been sitting on for two years, and hit $2.1M, without hiring a single extra person.

The fix wasn't working harder. It was building the one system she'd been avoiding.

Why the Gap Exists

It's not magic. It's context.

Naked Claude doesn't know where this person is on the awareness scale. So it writes to everyone.

My files told Claude this audience is problem-aware, they know something's wrong but haven't named the cause.

So it names it for them: “your excellence is the lid.”

Naked Claude doesn't know the market is saturated with coaching ads.

My files told Claude this is Level 5 sophistication, they've seen every "scale your business" promise.

So it used a story lead instead of a promise lead. It showed Sarah's result instead of listing features.

Naked Claude doesn't know about hook-stack-payoff structure.

My files gave it the ad-formula, bold opening claim, rhythm-built stack ("Not because... Not because... Not even because..."), a named person with a specific number, and a one-line CTA with a free offer.

Naked Claude doesn't know that the hidden objection is "I don't need another course."

My psychology file told Claude to resonate at identity level, flip the frame so the problem isn't a lack of something, but the presence of something they're proud of. "Your excellence is the lid" hits different from "you need help."

Three files. One prompt. Ninety seconds.

What Each File Did

copywriting.md - Matched the awareness level (problem-aware), selected the story lead format, applied proof stacking, used the "mechanism, not feature" rule, and built the "Not because..." triple stack for rhythm.

marketing-psychology-offer-creation.md - Identified the identity-level hook. Contrarian Big Idea format: "Most people think X, but the real problem is Y." Addressed the unspoken objection without naming it.

master_ad_copy_formula.md - Structured the four-part rhythm. Hook that opens a loop. Stack that builds tension with short lines. Payoff with a named person, specific dollar amount, and timeframe. CTA that's one line, one action, free.

The Part Nobody Wants to Hear

That second ad isn't perfect. A senior copywriter would tighten it and test it. But as a first draft?

It would take most marketers an hour to get close to that. Some wouldn't get there at all.

Claude got there in 20 seconds. Not because it's smarter. Because it had the right context.

The AI isn't the variable. The brief is. The frameworks are. The context you feed it is.

Stop blaming the tool. Start feeding it properly.

About Those Files

Last post I said, "comment Picasso if you want the files."

Hundreds of you did. I wasn't ready for the volume — and I know I missed some of you. I'm sorry. I'm still working through messages, and I want to make sure everyone who asked gets them.

If you commented and haven't heard back yet — or if you're new here — comment "Picasso" below and I'll send them over. Same 10 files. Same Skill Router. Same system that wrote the ad above.

No catch. No funnel. Just the files.
