The Briefing
The AI coding wars went nuclear in one day. On July 16, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google all shipped major coding-agent upgrades at once (GPT-5.5, Claude Opus 4.7, Gemini 3.1). For founders that means the agents that build your systems got sharper and cheaper on the same afternoon. The tools are now moving faster than most teams can adopt them.
Agents crossed from demo to payroll. More than 6 in 10 organisations now run AI agents in production, not in a sandbox. The winners are not chasing shiny launches. They map one messy process, add a human check, and prove the hours saved. Boring wins.
Software is becoming something you assemble. Oracle launched a builder that lets developers and coding agents create and run agentic apps inside its stack. The pattern is clear: you compose companies out of agents now, you do not just buy tools. The build-versus-buy line just moved.
Governance is the gap nobody is funding. Those same agents run live with almost no oversight layer. Researchers are racing to catch up, with whole academic tracks on "agents in the wild" just greenlit. If you deploy agents this year, write down who checks their work. That is your cheapest insurance.
The Build
This week did not feel like an upgrade. It felt like someone handed me a bigger engine.
A company I work with brought in Kent Langley to help build a more autonomous business.
If you do not know Kent: 30-plus years building companies, 16 years in machine learning and AI since 2010, one Silicon Valley exit, and faculty at Singularity University since 2013.
He has worked across Coca-Cola, Dell, and Autodesk, and co-founded OpenExO.
He is not a guru who discovered AI last year. He has been in it for sixteen.
Kent built Founder OS: a 50-plus-skill AI operating system you install in week one. It runs inside Claude (Cowork, Code, and more). The skills chain together, so when you ask about pricing it pulls in revenue, margins, positioning, and capacity on its own.
It is not a course. It is software you keep.
We installed it. Within minutes I was producing artifacts I could not touch the week before: a full sales report, an ad breakdown, and a company-wide operating report.
Not rough drafts. Usable assets.
[Founder OS installed in Claude] Me: Review our sales motion and this quarter's numbers. Show me where we're leaking revenue and what to fix first. fOS: [chains 5 skills: revenue -> money-models -> positioning -> capacity -> 90/9/1] Returns: leak points, a premium tier we weren't offering, and a 30-day fix sequence.
Here is Kent's line that stuck...
"Most founders think they're using AI well. Most are barely scratching the surface."
I felt that. I have built custom AI setups for clients that I was proud of. They were good. This showed me the gap between good and incredible.
What worked: The chaining. I asked one business question and the system routed itself through five frameworks without me naming them.
Sales, ads, and company reports that used to eat days landed in minutes.
And it compounds: every piece of context I add makes the next answer smarter.
The Play
If you are a Founder, this one is for you. Not "someday." This week.
Before you buy another tool, take a closer look, because most founders are getting 10% of what is on the table and do not know it.
Founder OS is 50-plus chaining skills that live inside Claude...and operate beautifully from the terminal.
It covers sales, marketing, finance, operations, and your own capacity, and it compounds with every piece of context you add.
If you built a real business and still run it, this is the operating layer you have been missing. Here is where to look:
- See Founder OS: the full system, the seven domains, and the founder case studies.
- Read Kent's book free: the Founder Scaled playbook behind the system.
- Meet Kent Langley: sixteen years in AI, and the operator who built it.
Try this today. Go watch Founder OS resolve a real founder problem live at fos.kentlangley.com. This is the upgrade for founders who built it and still run it.
