Three sections. Five minutes. One unfair advantage.
The Briefing
OpenAI announces ads coming to ChatGPT.
Free and Go tier users will see sponsored products at the bottom of answers. ChatGPT is becoming a search engine with an ad model. If you buy media, this is a new channel you need to understand.
Claude Code goes viral.
Non-technical users discovered they could build functioning apps from plain English descriptions. The barrier to building software just dropped to zero. Entrepreneurs can now prototype without engineers.

The Build
I needed Facebook ads. Not one ad. A batch. Multiple hooks, multiple angles, multiple lead magnets.
Normally this takes me a full day. Research, draft, edit, iterate, second-guess, rewrite. This week I built a headline and ad copy generation system inside AI that cut that to about an hour. For better output than I was getting manually.
The backbone is Eugene Schwartz's 9 headline types. Schwartz wrote some of the most profitable ads in history. His framework for headline classification hasn't been improved on in 60 years. I paired it with a 4-part ad structure (Hook, Stack, Payoff, CTA) that's been battle-tested across hundreds of campaigns.
The combination: systematic creativity. Instead of staring at a blank screen waiting for inspiration, the AI works through each headline type methodically. 9 types, 3 variations each. 27 headlines before I've finished my coffee.
The file that made it work: headline-and-adcopy-master.md
This file contains Schwartz's 9 headline types with examples, 10 master headline formulas, and 5 complete ad copy structures. It's the ad creation engine. Here's the core framework:
# Headline & Ad Copy Master ## Eugene Schwartz's 9 Classic Headline Types ### 1. Direct Headline States the selling proposition with no wordplay or gimmicks. "Flat Stomach in 30 Days, Guaranteed" Best when: Audience is aware of product/solution. ### 2. Indirect Headline Makes its point obliquely, using curiosity and intrigue. "They Laughed When I Sat Down at the Piano..." Best when: Audience is problem-aware but not solution-aware. ### 3. News Headline Frames the ad as an important announcement. "Introducing the First Wrinkle Cream That Actually Works" Best when: Launching something genuinely new. ### 4. How-To Headline Promises practical, specific information. "How to Win Friends and Influence People" Best when: Audience actively seeks a solution. ### 5. Question Headline Asks something the prospect is already wondering. "Do You Make These Mistakes in English?" Best when: You can articulate their inner dialogue. ### 6. Command Headline Tells the prospect exactly what to do. "Stop Wasting Money on Ads That Don't Convert" ### 7. Reason-Why Headline Lists reasons. "7 Reasons Your Funnel Is Leaking Cash" ### 8. Testimonial Headline Uses a customer's exact words as the headline. ### 9. Prediction Headline Forecasts the prospect's future. Bold and specific.

27 headline variations plus 5 complete ad scripts. One prompt cycle. I cherry-picked the best 8 headlines and 2 scripts, edited them (10 minutes each), and had a week's worth of creative ready to test.
What worked: The "Stack" techniques in the ad body. "Triple Stack" (three short escalating lines), "Math Stack" (make them do mental arithmetic), "Stage Stack" (show them where they are on a journey). Without that instruction, AI ads read flat. With it, they build tension like a good story.
What didn't work: First batch of CTAs were too clever. "Discover your path to freedom." Nobody clicks that. I added the rule "One line. Arrow. Action verb. Free!" and suddenly got clean, clickable CTAs. "Grab the Toolkit, Free!" converts. "Embark on your transformation journey" doesn't.
The Play
Don't ask AI to "write me a Facebook ad." That's like asking a chef to "make me food."
Pick 3 of Schwartz's 9 headline types that fit your offer. Feed AI your target market details. Ask for 3 variations per type. 9 headlines in 2 minutes.
Then pick your favorite and ask AI to write the full ad using Hook-Stack-Payoff-CTA. Give it specific stack instructions: "Use three short escalating lines that build tension."
Try this today. The structure does the heavy lifting. The frameworks are right. The AI just executes them faster than any human can. I've cut my ad creation time by about 70%. The quality is equal to (sometimes better than) manual work.
